This is a piece of work from my fine art practice looking at violence and abuse against women in countries where it is many women's everyday experience.  This is an image that I created after reading a newspaper article about a girl in India who fought against a group of boys trying to rape her. Her brother found her body hanging from a tree with the scarf of her school uniform. I wanted to turn this into an image that juxtaposes the bright colours of India against the dark story.
